Wherefore they came back, and told him. And he said, This is the word of Jehovah, which he spake by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall the dogs eat the flesh of Jezebel;

בְּחֵ֣לֶק (חֵ֣לֶק) Che.lek “[the] territory of”

and the body of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel, so that they shall not say, This is Jezebel.

בְּחֵ֣לֶק (חֵ֣לֶק) Che.lek “[the] territory of”

And when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So all Israel departed unto their tents.

חֵ֨לֶק Che.lek “portion”

Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.

חֵ֧לֶק Che.lek “a share”

He that denounceth his friends for a prey, Even the eyes of his children shall fail.

לְ֭חֵלֶק (חֵלֶק) che.lek “a share”

This is the portion of a wicked man from God, And the heritage appointed unto him by God.

חֵֽלֶק־ che.lek- “[is the] portion of”

This is the portion of a wicked man with God, And the heritage of oppressors, which they receive from the Almighty:

For what is the portion from God above, And the heritage from the Almighty on high?

I also will answer my part, I also will show mine opinion.

חֶלְקִ֑י (חֶלְקִ֑) chel.K “part”

Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: Thou maintainest my lot.

חֶלְקִ֥י (חֶלְקִ֥) chel.K “possession”

From men by thy hand, O Jehovah, From men of the world, whose portion is in [supplied: this] life, And whose belly thou fillest with thy treasure: They are satisfied with children, And leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

חֶלְקָ֥ם (חֶלְקָ֥) chel.Ka “[whom] portion”

When thou sawest a thief, thou consentedst with him, And hast been partaker with adulterers.

חֶלְקֶֽךָ׃ (חֶלְקֶֽ) chel.Ke. “portion”

My flesh and my heart faileth; [supplied: But] God is the strength of my heart and my portion for ever.

וְחֶלְקִ֗י (חֶלְקִ֗) chel.K “portion”

HHETH. Jehovah is my portion: I have said that I would observe thy words.

חֶלְקִ֖י (חֶלְקִ֖) chel.K “[is] portion”

I cried unto thee, O Jehovah; I said, Thou art my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

חֶ֝לְקִ֗י (חֶ֝לְקִ֗) chel.K “portion”

And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them; I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced because of all my labor; and this was my portion from all my labor.

חֶלְקִ֖י (חֶלְקִ֖) chel.K “reward”

For there is a man whose labor is with wisdom, and with knowledge, and with skilfulness; yet to a man that hath not labored therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great evil.

Wherefore I saw that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him [supplied: back] to see what shall be after him?

Behold, that which I have seen to be good and to be comely is for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy good in all his labor, wherein he laboreth under the sun, all the days of his life which God hath given him: for this is his portion.

Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth, and hath given him power to eat thereof, and to take his portion, and to rejoice in his labor-this is the gift of God.

חֶלְק֔וֹ (חֶלְק֔) chel.K “portion”

As well their love, as their hatred and their envy, is perished long ago; neither have they any more a portion for ever in anything that is done under the sun.

וְחֵ֨לֶק (חֵ֨לֶק) Che.lek “a portion”

Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of thy life of vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all thy days of vanity: for that is thy portion in life, and in thy labor wherein thou laborest under the sun.

חֶלְקְךָ֙ (חֶלְקְ) chel.ke. “[is] portion”

Give a portion to seven, yea, even unto eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.

חֵ֥לֶק Che.lek “a portion”

At eventide, behold, terror; [supplied: and] before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that despoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

חֵ֣לֶק Che.lek “[will be] [the] portion of”

Among the smooth [supplied: stones] of the valley is thy portion; they, they are thy lot; even to them hast thou poured a drink-offering, thou hast offered an oblation. Shall I be appeased for these things?
