Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the princes of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the city of David, which is Zion.

And all the elders of Israel came; and the priests took up the ark.

And the king of Israel called all the elders of the land and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this [supplied: man] seeks mischief; for he sent to me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not.

And all the elders and all the people said to him, Hearken not, nor consent.

הַזְּקֵנִ֖ים (זְּקֵנִ֖ים) ze.ke.Nim “elders”

And she wrote a letter in Ahab's name, and sealed it with his seal, and sent the letter to the elders and to the nobles that were in his city, dwelling with Naboth.

הַזְקֵנִ֤ים (זְקֵנִ֤ים) z.ke.Nim “elders”

And the men of his city, the elders and the nobles that dwelt in his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as it was written in the letter that she had sent to them:

And Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him. And [supplied: the king] sent a man before him. Before the messenger came to him, he himself said to the elders, Do ye see how this son of a murderer has sent to take away my head? See, when the messenger comes; shut the door, and keep him off with the door: is not the sound of his master's feet behind him?

Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. And Jehu wrote letters, and sent to Samaria, to the princes of Jizreel, to the elders, and to Ahab's guardians, saying,

And he that was over the house, and he that was over the city, and the elders, and the guardians sent to Jehu, saying, We are thy servants, and will do all that thou shalt bid us; we will not make any one king; do what is good in thy sight.

And he sent Eliakim, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz.

And the king sent, and they gathered to him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.

And all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Jehovah; and they anointed David king over Israel according to the word of Jehovah through Samuel.

And David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of Jehovah out of the house of Obed-Edom with joy.

And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of Jehovah stand between the earth and the heavens, and his sword drawn in his hand, stretched out over Jerusalem. And David and the elders, clothed in sackcloth, fell on their faces.

And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.

And the king sent and gathered all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.

and that whosoever would not come within three days, according to the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be confiscated, and himself separated from the congregation of those that had been carried away.

וְהַזְּקֵנִ֔ים (זְּקֵנִ֔ים) ze.ke.Nim “elders”

Let now our princes, while this matter is going on, stand for all the congregation, and let all those that have taken foreign wives in our cities come at the appointed times, and with them the elders of every city, and the judges thereof, until the fierce anger of our God be turned from us.

זִקְנֵי־ zik.nei- “[the] elders of”

He depriveth of speech the trusty, and taketh away the judgment of the elders;

זְקֵנִ֣ים ze.ke.Nim “elders”

To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom.

וּזְקֵנָ֥יו (זְקֵנָ֥י) ze.ke.Na “elders”

Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the session of the elders.

זְקֵנִ֣ים ze.ke.Nim “[the] elders”

Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land.

זִקְנֵי־ zik.nei- “[the] elders of”

the mighty man and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the diviner and the elder,

וְזָקֵֽן׃ (זָקֵֽן) za.Ken “elder”

And the people shall be oppressed one by the other, and each by his neighbour; the child will be insolent against the elder, and the base against the honourable.

בַּזָּקֵ֔ן (זָּקֵ֔ן) za.Ken “old [person]”
