Though thou, Israel, playest the harlot, yet let not Judah offend; and come not ye to Gilgal, neither go ye up to Beth-aven, nor swear, The LORD liveth.

זֹנֶ֤ה zo.Neh “[are] prostituting yourself”

Their drink is sour: they have been guilty of lewd deeds continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give ye.

הַזְנֵ֣ה haz.Neh “certainly <to prostitute themselves>”הִזְנ֔וּ hiz.Nu “they have prostituted themselves”

I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou art guilty of lewdness, and Israel is defiled.

הִזְנֵ֣יתָ hiz.Nei.ta “you have prostituted yourself”

Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast apostatized from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every corn-floor.

זָנִ֖יתָ za.Ni.ta “you have prostituted yourself”

And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink.

בַּזּוֹנָ֔ה (זּוֹנָ֔ה) zo.Nah “prostitute”

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go from his land into captivity.

תִּזְנֶה֙ tiz.Neh “she will be a prostitute”

And all her graven images shall be beaten to pieces, and all her hires shall be burned with the fire, and all her idols will I lay desolate: for she gathered it from the hire of a harlot, and they shall return to the hire of a harlot.

Because of the multitude of the lewd deeds of the well-favored harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her lewd deeds, and families through her witchcrafts.
