And these are the numbers of them according to the house of their fathers: of Judah, the captains of thousands; Adnah the chief, and with him mighty men of valor three hundred thousand.

The whole number of the chief of the fathers of the mighty men of valor were two thousand and six hundred.

And Zichri, a mighty man of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah the king's son, and Azrikam the governor of the house, and Elkanah that was next to the king.

He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city: and they helped him.

And the LORD sent an angel, who cut off all the mighty men of valor, and the leaders and captains in the camp of the king of Assyria. So he returned with shame of face to his own land. There is no king saved by the multitude of a host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty.

To the chief Musician, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when Doeg the Edomite came and told Saul, and said to him, David is come to the house of Ahimelech. Why boastest thou thyself in mischief, O mighty man? the goodness of God endureth continually.

Then the Lord awaked as one out of sleep, and like a mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine.
