Whither is thy beloved gone, Thou fairest among women? Whither is thy beloved turned aside? And we will seek him with thee.

And what will ye do in the day of visitation, and in the sudden destruction [supplied: which] shall come from far? To whom will ye flee for help, and where will ye leave your glory?

וְאָ֥נָה (אָ֥נָה) 'A.nah “where?”

And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith Jehovah: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.

אָ֣נָה 'A.nah “where?”

Alas! sword of Jehovah, how long wilt thou not be quiet? Withdraw into thy scabbard, rest, and be still.

אָ֖נָה 'A.nah “when?”

Gather up [supplied: strength], go to the right hand, turn thee, go to the left, whithersoever thy face is appointed.

Jehovah, how long shall I cry and thou wilt not hear? I cry out unto thee, Violence! and thou dost not save.

אָ֧נָה 'A.nah “when?”

And I said, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

אָ֖נָה 'A.nah “where?”

And I said to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these carry the ephah?
