H0559–אָמַר–a.mar

And he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off!

וַיֹּאמֶר֮ (יֹּאמֶר֮) i.yo.Mer “he said”אֹמְרִ֗ים 'o.me.Rim “[they are] saying”

Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, O my people, and bring you into the land of Israel.

וְאָמַרְתָּ֜ (אָמַרְתָּ֜) 'a.mar.Ta “you will say”אָמַר֮ 'a.Mar “he says”

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

לֵאמֹֽר׃ (אמֹֽר) Mor “saying”

And when the children of my people speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not declare unto us what thou meanest by these?

יֹאמְר֣וּ yo.me.Ru “they will say”לֵאמֹ֑ר (אמֹ֑ר) Mor “saying”

say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions, and will put them with this, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand.

אָמַר֮ 'a.Mar “he says”

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, whither they are gone, and will gather them from every side, and bring them into their own land:

And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

לֵאמֹֽר׃ (אמֹֽר) Mor “saying”

and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal.

וְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ (אָ֣מַרְתָּ֔) 'A.mar.ta “you will say”אָמַ֖ר 'a.Mar “he says”

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: It shall even come to pass in that day that things shall come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought;

אָמַ֖ר 'a.Mar “he says”

and thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will come to them that are in quiet, that dwell in safety, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,

וְאָמַרְתָּ֗ (אָמַרְתָּ֗) 'a.mar.Ta “you will say”

Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to seize a spoil? hast thou gathered thine assemblage to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take cattle and goods, to seize a great spoil?

יֹאמְר֣וּ yo.me.Ru “they will say”

Therefore prophesy, son of man, and say unto Gog, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In that day when my people Israel dwelleth in safety, shalt thou not know [supplied: it]?

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ (אָמַרְתָּ֣) 'a.mar.Ta “you will say”אָמַ֖ר 'a.Mar “he says”

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Art thou not he of whom I have spoken in old time through my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days, for [supplied: many] years, that I would bring thee against them?

And thou, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal;

וְאָ֣מַרְתָּ֔ (אָ֣מַרְתָּ֔) 'A.mar.ta “you will say”אָמַ֖ר 'a.Mar “he says”

And thou, son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Speak unto the birds of every wing, and to every beast of the field, Gather yourselves together and come, assemble yourselves on every side to my sacrifice which I sacrifice for you, a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.

Therefore, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name:

אָמַר֙ 'a.Mar “he says”

And he measured its length, twenty cubits; and the breadth, twenty cubits, before the temple: and he said unto me, This is the most holy [supplied: place].

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (יֹּ֣אמֶר) i.Yo.mer “he said”

And he said unto me, The north cells [supplied: and] the south cells, which are before the separate place, they are holy cells, where the priests that come near unto Jehovah shall eat the most holy things; there shall they lay the most holy things, both the oblation and the sin-offering and the trespass-offering: for the place is holy.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (יֹּ֣אמֶר) i.Yo.mer “he said”

And he said unto me, Son of man, [supplied: this is] the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever; and the house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, they nor their kings, with their fornication, and with the carcases of their kings [supplied: in] their high places,

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (יֹּ֣אמֶר) i.Yo.mer “he said”

And he said unto me, Son of man, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they shall make it, to offer up burnt-offerings thereon, and to sprinkle blood thereon.

וַיֹּ֣אמֶר (יֹּ֣אמֶר) i.Yo.mer “he said”אָמַר֙ 'a.Mar “he says”

And Jehovah said unto me, This gate shall be shut; it shall not be opened, and no one shall enter in by it: for Jehovah, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it; and it shall be shut.

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר (יֹּ֨אמֶר) i.Yo.mer “he said”

And Jehovah said unto me, Son of man, apply thy heart, and behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears all that I say unto thee concerning all the statutes of the house of Jehovah, and all the laws thereof; and mark well the entering in of the house, with every going forth of the sanctuary;

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר (יֹּ֨אמֶר) i.Yo.mer “he said”

and say to the rebellious, to the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Let it suffice you of all your abominations, O house of Israel,

וְאָמַרְתָּ֤ (אָמַרְתָּ֤) 'a.mar.Ta “you will say”אָמַ֖ר 'a.Mar “he says”

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: No stranger, uncircumcised in heart and uncircumcised in flesh, shall enter into my sanctuary, of any stranger that is among the children of Israel.

אָמַר֮ 'a.Mar “he says”

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Let it suffice you, princes of Israel! Put away violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice; take off your exactions from my people, saith the Lord Jehovah.
